It is with
a great amount of pleasure that I take this opportunity to endorse my very good
friend, Ms. AmyBeth Hodges of Gettysburg PA, for a position on the School Board
in the Gettysburg Area School District.
AmyBeth is
no stranger to public office in Gettysburg.
AmyBeth was elected to Ward Three of the Gettysburg Borough Council in
2015 and served honorably until mid-November 2017 when a very private and
personal tragedy necessitated AmyBeth to vacate her seat on the Council to
focus on her family and to pick up pieces and then move on with her life in
Gettysburg to follow the calling of her political career.
Many of
you might wonder how to pick that perfect candidate for Public Office? My first choice would be to pick someone that
believes in our Lord God.
AmyBeth has a strong commitment to God,
a faith that is firmly rooted in the Christian Tradition. I have been blessed with a friendship of
AmyBeth that has allowed me to observe AmyBeth’s closeness to God while, at the same time AmyBeth
maintains a deeply ingrained Christian faith with her family and friends and
sharing with her husband in the rearing of their three children in a home of
Christian faith.
You should
decide what you want in a candidate by first choosing your own personal traits
and beliefs, and then find someone that best supports your personal traits and
beliefs. AmyBeth supports a Conservative
Agenda while at the same time AmyBeth is bipartisan enough to know no one can
have their way all of the time. AmyBeth
has a unique one-of-a-kind identity that enables her to judge without being
judgmental.
Interview
neighbors, shop owners, and friends to find out who they support and why; it is
always nice to have a friend’s or acquaintance’s viewpoint or opinion. Stay away from those that would assassinate an
opponent’s character, integrity, honesty, or leadership credentials,
Pick someone
that is as in touch as AmyBeth. As a
business Owner, AmyBeth has her thumb on the pulse of Gettysburg and as a
mother she knows what it is that kids need most.
Finally,
pick someone that is like AmyBeth who is adaptable, compassionate, and
compatible. Pick someone that is honest
and takes responsibilities for their own actions. I am certain that you will find in AmyBeth
all of these personal traits and beliefs and more.
AmyBeth is
a serious minded woman of defined dignity.
I believe AmyBeth to be abundantly qualified for the position of School
Board Member in the Gettysburg Area School District; I can unabashedly and
