Why I Support Amybeth Hodges’ Bid for a Position as a School Board Member in the District of Gettysburg, PA

For Her Experience

Amybeth Hodges has over two years of Faithful and Honorable Service to the Borough of Gettysburg as a Gettysburg Borough Council Member spanning from her election in 2015 until mid-November 2017 when a horrific family emergency cut short AmyBeth’s Public Service to the Borough of Gettysburg.
AmyBeth certainly knows the intricate details of Borough politics and will need no “breaking in time” to know and understand proper processes and procedures to perform from the minutest to the largest detailed task of a member of the School Board for the District of Gettysburg.  In other words, there will be no “down time for training” between when AmyBeth is officially elected until the time AmyBeth can actually start getting the job done.  This will greatly enhance AmyBeth’s ability to hit the ground with both feet running.  AmyBeth’s political experience will enable her to leverage her knowledge and experience to assess priorities from highest to lowest, as well as to help her quickly, systematically, and thoroughly resolve each situation within the best interests of the Borough of Gettysburg, and its borough members.

For AmyBeth’s Understanding of Special Needs of Special Students

As the mother of three school age children, AmyBeth is no stranger to the routines and the rituals of a school age child’s mother, such as getting the kids to school and getting them home again, field trips, soccer games and wrestling matches, etcetera.  AmyBeth is also aware of the many horrors associated with being the mother of a child that faces daily a special need.  Although there are a variety of reasons to have a special need, all special needs could be potentially life threatening.  As a school board member, AmyBeth would never allow over commitment of resources (such as sharing a nurse between two or more schools).  AmyBeth has pledged to never allow a special needs child to want for their individual special need; and, AmyBeth has vowed to make resources available in all Gettysburg District Schools for all of your child’s special needs.

For Her Christian Faith in the Community of the Borough of Gettysburg

My first choice for anyone choosing a candidate for public office is to pick someone that believes in our Lord God.  AmyBeth has a strong commitment to God, a faith that is firmly rooted in the Christian Tradition.  I have been blessed with a friendship of AmyBeth that has allowed me to observe AmyBeth’s closeness to God while, at the same time AmyBeth manages to keep in touch with a deep rooted Christian faith with her family and friends and sharing with her husband in rearing their three children in a home of Christian faith.

I Genuinely Like AmyBeth and I Believe You Will Too

As a longtime friend of AmyBeth and her family, I have always known AmyBeth to be adaptable to any situation, kind beyond a fault, compassionate when others seem to lack concern, incomprehensibly generous, and compatible in all situations.  Pick someone that is honest and takes responsibilities for their own actions.  I am certain you will find in AmyBeth all of these personal traits and beliefs and more.  Vote for my good friend AmyBeth Hodges for
AmyBeth is a serious minded woman of defined dignity.  I believe AmyBeth to be abundantly qualified for the position of School Board Member in the Gettysburg Area School District; I can unabashedly and unapologetically state you will be pleased you elected AmyBeth to School Board Member for the District of Gettysburg.
My Grandfather told me more times than I could count while I was growing up on the farm -  you never have time to do it right in the first place but you always have to find time to go back and fix it.  So; do it right in the first place, vote for AmyBeth Hodges for School Board Member in the District of Gettysburg.
